Design brief for a non-existent sunscreen brand consisting of both logo and packaging design, inspired by the 80s and 90s.

The logo represents the sun setting over the sea's horizon that is often seen on beaches - where Lummi's customers use their sunscreen the most. The colors of the logo also uses colors that represent UV rays which is what causes harsh sun damage on the skin.

The brand is also conscious of the marine life near the beaches people often visit. As people would often swim in the ocean when visiting the beach, marine life such as fishes, sea turtles, corals, etc. are heavily impacted by what people bring into the ocean. Thus, the use of reef-friendly sunscreen is essential in maintaining a healthy relationship with sea creatures and ecosystem.

The packaging design is also reminiscent to the simple and retro look of products from the 80s and 90s while also highlighting the use of yellows and blues that represent the sand and sea of beaches.
